Aren’t squeeze pouches bad for the environment?Updated 2 months ago
We care deeply about sustainability and appreciate the chance to explain our approach.
We chose pouches because they are lightweight and reduce environmental impact in transportation. For example, shipping jars requires over 20 times more fuel than shipping pouches. And while jars are technically recyclable, only about one-third of recyclable materials in the U.S. actually get recycled, meaning many still end up in landfills, where they take up more space than pouches.
To help address end-of-life waste, we’ve partnered with TerraCycle to make recycling our pouches free and easy. You can learn more about that program here: https://myserenitykids.com/blogs/news/serenity-kids-and-terracycle
We’re committed to continuing to explore better solutions.
